there seems to be a huge problem introduced with v6 and browsing on older samsung devices. ever since updating my folders with >1400 files wont load at all and brings my wifi connection to its knees. the devices also won't react after trying to browse one of these folders. it worked on the last 5 version. tried to downgrade but the installer wouldn`t let me :( my devices are samsung bdp D5300 and samsung tv ue40c6000. no change on device profiles. something must have changed on your end. could be because of a file limit.
need a fix asap.

During the installation of the Mezzmo 6 update there should have been a prompt to backup your Mezzmo database. If you backed up the database you can uninstall Mezzmo 6 along with the Mezzmo library then re-install Mezzmo 5 and restore the database backup from options.

If you can enable diagnostic logging in Mezzmo 6 and then after restarting your Mezzmo media server try browsing the folder containing > 1400 files then send us the logs after it fails to load we can investigate.

thx for your response. i've now changed my database to implement active playlist and folders grouped by first letter. this circumvents the problem. seems to be a faster loading on these old devices too. one more question: can you ignore "the" and "a" while grouping by first letter?

just tried it with the sort title option. all my videos are in the format "word.word.word.year.filetype". tried entering the following sort title keywords in the metadata retrieval settings "the., a., an." which doesn't seem to work. when i rename the file to "word word word year.filetype and use the sort title keywords without the period it works. is there a workaround?

Mezzmo removes the periods when parsing the filename to get the file title, the sort title keywords should be entered without the period so "the, a, an"
