Hi.
I've been using Mezzmo Pro to stream films to my TV for about 5 years. It's a great product & I really like it.

In addition to streaming to my TV, I also use it to rip CDs into MP3s to listen to in my car. The feature has always worked really well up to now, but mezzmo has stopped retrieving metadata, album art etc, for the CD for the last couple of days, and says it can't connect to the host, 'error: no such host is known', when I try and use the test button to test the settings in options.
Default setting are (which I've never changed)
CDDB music server: freedb.freedb.org
Web Address : /~cddb/cddb.cgi

Anybody got an idea as to what's going on?

Thanks.
John.

It looks like freedb.org has been shutdown https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedb

Until another solution comes along, try the instructions for MusicBrainz Picard found here: https://support.live365.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004002933-Use-MusicBrainz-Picard-to-get-metadata-for-your-tracks

I haven't done this, yet, so can't guarantee anything. I would rip the CD with Mezzmo and manually fill in the artist, album, genre, date and other easy metadata. Let the tracks be ripped as Track 1, Track 2, etc. Then, follow the above instructions for MusicBrains Picard to add the remaining or to correct the files' metadata.

Best,
Bob
