View Full Version : Transcoding issues with Panasonic Viera

I am new to Mezzmo, and trialling it out so see if I like it more than Twonky.

Although all is fine streaming the normal MPEG2 files on my PC (as the TV plays them fine), I am having problems with anything that the TV wont normally play natively.

I thought the transcode feature of Mezzmo would convert them for me, but it is not. In the Viera media client the non-playable files still show up as their native file types, and not as the transcode preferred MPEG2 as the Viera profile suggests.

The TV is a TX-P42V10B, the Mezzmo server sees it fine, and it gets the correct Panasonic Viera profile.

I know that transcoding is working, as my Philips Stremium 5500 is getting unplayable files transcoded for it (it uses Generic 1, which seems to work well enough for this device).

Searching the forums, I see many people are using the Viera, but nobody else seems to be suffering from the same issues. Am I missing something with the configuration?

Thanks ....

Please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll send you an updated device profile for the TV and a patched server that may help with the transcoding issues.
