Would love to see profiles for these added.

All 5 share the same firmware and the only difference is screen size + hardware. They all play the same video profiles.

I see the Archos 7 is already supported.

Does the Archos 7 profile work on those at all, or nothing plays?

Hmm actually just the generic profile 1 works on it. The 7 does too. Might not need to add them then.

If those tablets support additional format as compared to 7, then we can make a new one of course.

Well they seem to stream fine. However when it comes out of wake after awhile Mezzmo reset it in the Media Device back to Unknown Device.

Do you have static IPs or DHCP? Maybe the IP changes?

Nope.. Static set on router.. and device.

Ok, so just to confirm - the PC goes to sleep (with Mezzmo server running), then you wake it up and the media devices are reset at this point?

Dion

The other way around actually.

Mezzmo PC is on 24/7 no sleep

When the archos comes out of sleep after an hour or 2. Mezzmo resets the device to Unknown Device. It still works but settings for the device get reset. IP is the same..

Interesting... I'll try it here with something else that goes to sleep to see what happens. Does the Archos come out of sleep on its own or do you wake it up? If you do, can you please try logging that and send in the logs?

Hi there,

I own an Archos 70 Internet Tablet as well and I face the same problem. Are there any news on this topic? The Archos 70 is the only device which is switched back to "UnknownDevice" after reconnecting to Mezzmo. When I switch it by hand to Archos 7 Profil Mezzmo lets me play my videos quite well but after a while itīs being resetted within Mezzmo...

Does the Archos change IPs from time to time by any chance?

Yes it does. I also use it with a portable WLAN HotSpot so i prefer to keep the DHCP setting enabled. But also if i set a fix IP adress Mezzmo looses the information about the tablet. To avoid this problem i use a second media server which handles the tablet quite well. But that's a little bit annoying :-(
Today i installed the new Mezzmo version. Are there any improvements? (didn't have the time to check yet :-) )

Yes, several. Check out this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/1196-Mezzmo-v2.1.13-is-available-now!

One of the next updates will allow assigning a device profile to a MAC, instead of IP, so that should take care of that hopefully.

Great! The MAC assigment will be a big improvement! Can't wait for it ;-)

Thanx for your support!

Do you mean the problem where device profiles were resetting? That should be fixed if you only use the IP address to identify it (and it's statically assigned to the tablet). Or is it something else?

Just a device profile. Currently no profiles work with it. And media errors out.

I thought the Generic one was working (or Archos 7)?

It use too. Doesn't seem to be working atm. I thought it might be the new firmware they release. So I downgraded back to old and same problem. Just gives a media error.

Ok, we'll need to sort it out then. Please open a support ticket, so that I could send you device profiles to try.

Hi

Hi there, Just to say that I have the same problem. I recently purchased an Archos 70 Internet Tablet and I can't get Mezzmo to stream to it, regardless of any device profile I select. Windows Media Player streams fine to it (but is painfully slow to navigate files- unlike mezzmo!).

Streaming to my Sony TV and Bluray from Mezzmo works perfectly.

Thanks

Mark.

Probably the best way is to contact us directly at support [at] conceiva [dot] com, and describe any problems that you are having with your Archos tablet. Attach a set of logs to your email so we can see what may be going wrong.
