I am using Mezzmo to file share music files to a Samsung BD C6500. I love that I can do this, but about every 30 min. it appears the connection between Mezzmo and the Blu-ray player drops. Eventually Mezzmo server comes back and displays as an available server (displaying on Samsung as available server). Every other device on the net works fine and doesn't drop, and filesystems on the same computer acting as host always display in Samsung menu. It appears as though the server has stopped, but I cannot catch it in a stopped mode. Manually stopping and starting corrects issue immediately. It appears this typically happens when one song has completed a song and the next is starting. There may be a correlation to .wma files. I am in the process of updating all files to .mp3s and it appears in folders where all files are .mp3 I rarely see the problem. It also seems to display this symptom after the first couple of songs played, but stabilizes a bit, but still does it though closer to 30 min. interval. The most it has run unfaltered is about 60 min. I love yuo product I just want it to work for more extended periods, especially while entertaining guests! Are there any known background processes that can cause this? When running Mezzmo does anti virus software need to be disabled? My next experiments revolve around shutting off background processes. I have installed the latest updates to both the Samsung unit and Mezzmo, and while things have improved steadily it seems, it is never fully fixed. Any configurational or software updates would be appreciated. I bought the Samsung for this sole purpose. I move to Mezzmo for its superior sort capabilities and menuing...please help!

Can you please confirm that you're using the latest released v2.1.12? If you are, it's possible that you've hit a known issue that we're working on fixing right now. Please send a message to support and we'll send you a patch once it's ready.

Similar issue, I have only demo version but it stops then skips to the next file. Also having problem streaming avi files with software.

Possibly a transcoding issue, if it skips to the next file. Please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then try playing one of the files that skips and once that happens, stop the server, zip up the logs and send them to support (at) conceiva (dot) com - we'll take a look. Also, please mention which device you're using and what device profile is selected for it in the Media Devices dialog.

Yes I am using .12; just purchased Mezzmo before Christmas and downloaded. The problem is intermittent, but consistent. If it helps it seems to happen transitioning from one song to the next. The Mezzmo server seems to disappear from the Sanyo, but when checking on computer it seems to be running. Stopping and starting the Mezzmo server fizes intantly.

Yes, sound like the issue we're working on right now. Did you send a message to support to get a patch once it's ready?

I would love to get the patch! How do I go about letting Support know that I want this patch ASAP?

I have seen this as well. Where a song stops in the middle and skips ahead.

These could be different issues, depending on the device and the profile - it's possible that:

a) transcoding is too slow
b) the device profile is incorrectly specifying the length of a transcoded file
c) network streaming issues

So, please contact support in each case with your logs and we'll then see exactly what's happening.

To get a patch when it's ready, just send in a support request and mention this forum thread.
