I received my WD TV Live today and so far I love it! Steams my mkvs (h264/ac3) beautifully and flawlessly; I cant tell I'm not watching a DVD. Also steams my MP4's perfectly as well.

But I noticed Mezzmo is trying to transcode all AVI files. I checked the device profile, and sure enough, the AVI container section is commented out.

This is the default profile with the latest version of Mezzmo.

The WD TV Live manual lists AVI as a supported container with many different codecs (MPEG1/2/4, xvid, AC3, MP3, etc).

Why would the AVI container be commented out?

Turn off transcoding. The WDTV can play AVI's native.

Great timing, just got a notice to upgrade mezzmo to .13 today. Noticed in the release notes "improved WD TV live avi support".

Yes, it's been re-enabled in the .13 device profile.
