Apologies if someone has already covered this, but since all the posts I read about MKV problems talk about problems watching them on their DLNA device, I though this issue might be different.

This is my first time of trying to play a Matroska, MKV file. The MKV plays fine in Media Player Classic. In Mezzmo I can see the icon/artwork but when I Right-click, Play in the Mezzmo UI, it brings up MediaInfo.

I queried the ffmpeg info:

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get Mezzmo to play it?

thanks

Mezzmo does not have a built-in player anymore, but rather passes that file to your system to play. Since MediaInfo comes up, it means that MediaInfo is the registered application to handle MKV files. You'll need to run your media player (whichever one you use) and re-assign MKV files to be handled by it.

Thanks Dennis,
you were right, MKV extension was registered to MediaInfo for some reason. I just went into Windows Explorer and registered MKV to Media Player Classic and I can now play the movie in Mezzmo. Also, Mezzmo streams the movie to my Sony BDPS570 perfectly (well, at least for the few minutes that I have watched it so far)
