hey guys,

Recently I've noticed that Mezzmo is doing odd things while streaming to my Samsung C5500.

Files that play fine day day stop randomly the next and the C5500 just starts playing the next file.

I'm at a lost as to why this is happening as it seems to be getting worse.

Latest of Mezzmo and Download Studio version installed

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

Can you please tell me which device profile you're using? Also, please post FFmpeg info on one of those files (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command).

What's odd is that it will work fine on some days but fail on others. Some days it starts playing but then stops randomly.

I even put a Gig switch in-between the server and my BR player as I thought it might have been limited by my 10/100 mb router.

Anyways, please let me know what you think.

thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the info. That file should be passed through natively, so the stopping is not because of transcoding, I guess... Most likely you're then experiencing a disconnect issue we're currently trying to replicate and fix, as reported by some users.

Does that file always stop or does it play sometimes?

no the file plays sometime and not others. to be fair it's my daughters favourite film so gets played the most. that will mask any disconnectin issue as we'll just see it as 'this' film...

When it does stop it doesn't always stop in the same place.

Thanks again :)

Hopefully we'll catch that disconnect issue soon and get it fixed - sounds like you're experiencing it too.

I have a Samsung BD-C5500 Blu-ray disc player and a Samsung TV. I have previously installed the latest release of Samsung firmware and I have the latest release of Mezzmo software.
For some reason today I have not been able to play any of the Mezzmo files through the C5500, but they all work if I stream direct to the TV.

Puzzling.

Regards
John

Is the correct device profile still selected (check the Media Devices dialog)?

If it is, please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then try playing something on the C5500 again and once it fails, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com
