Has anyone ever been able to update Mezzmo from within Mezzmo when the application notifies of an update?

On all my installs across a couple of machines it has always been the same for me. The software notifies me of the update via the dialog box but the web information is missing (just shows broken web page). Tick the update and try and install it and it just errors.

So I have to download any update from the webpage and not use the update facility from the software itself. Anyone else seeing the same? Not a major problem just wondering why it is broken and has been ever since I have used the software.

We have not had this reported to us as yet. My first guess is that it may be your firewall blocking our update application (called AutoUpdate.exe) from accessing the updates on the internet. I recommend you check if AutoUpdate.exe is either in your "blocked" list in your firewall, or not in your "allowed" list in your firewall.

If that does not help, can you contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and send us a screenshot of what you see the next time you get a Mezzmo update?

I'm afraid the same sort of thing happens to me.

* Selected 'Check for Updates'
* The Auto Update window opens, but the Package Description side displays a 'The page cannot be displayed' webpage.
* Tick the checkbox for Mezzmo v2.2.0.0
* Click the Install button
* Auto Update MessageBox appears with the message 'Cannot write to a file' and an OK button.

Thanks for this feedback. Can you contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com? We'd really like to work out what is going wrong. The vast majority of our users are downloading/installing the updates via AutoUpdate, but it seems some people cannot. Let us know what version Windows you have, what firewall you are using, what version of Internet Explorer you have installed, what language you have set in Mezzmo and any other relevant info you may think is useful.

Another update and the exact same problem with the in application updater. Is this no nearer being resolved? In the meantime off to the website to download the new version and install it that way.

We were unable to reproduce this problem when you reported it previously. Can you contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com (briefly describe the problem in your email), and we'll work with you to find out what's going wrong on your machines.
