Is Mezzmo supposed to support fast forwarding and rewinding of MKV files when playing on the Sony Playstation 3? I'm having troubles with mine not working as such. If I try to fast forward, the video just pauses, even though it shows the fast forward indicator, and will remain in this state until I press play, at which point it merely continues from the same point. If seeking in this scenario is not presently a feature, is the plan to implement it in the (near) future?

Below is the ffmpeg info from an example of an MKV that I won't cooperate. Any ideas?

The PS3 does not play streamed MKV files natively so Mezzmo is transcoding these files for you. Whilst the files are being transcoded, fast forward may not be possible since you are trying to seek to a position in the video that has not been transcoded as yet. Once the file has been fully transcoded, then the next time you play it, you can FF/REW as you wish.

I understand that, but I believe the same discussion occurred for the Sonly BDP players, for which we now have FF/RW capability. Is there a major difference that allows FF/RW on the BDP's and not the PS3? By all accounts I would have to say the PS3 is a much more powerful and capable player than the bluray players, so it would surprise me if the bluray players have a leg up on it in this aspect.

The DLNA implementation in the Sony PS3's firmware and Sony BDP's firmware is very different so there may be no actual relationship between them both having FF/RW capability. We'll test out the changes we made for the Sony BDP when applied to the Sony P3. If we have success, we will certainly pass this onto all users.

Thank you sir! I tried playing around with the profile myself and didn't have much luck, but you guys are light years ahead of me when it comes to this stuff :-)
