question about playlists

If I added a file to a folder that mezzmo was set to scan
Is the file added to the database upon a creation event watch
or do I have to always have mezzmo rescan to see additions or removals?

I know from reading here that if i use a folder not a playlist
that it is done in realtime, no scanning needed

Just not sure about playlists

When you scan for files using the "Scan Drive/Folder For Media Files", then Mezzmo finds the media files and adds them to your Mezzmo Library. If you add more files to these folders on your computer at a later date, then they are not automatically added into your Mezzmo Library. You need to do another "Scan Drive/Folder For Media Files" and it will pick up the new files. Note, that Maintain Library will not pick up these new files - it only maintains files in your Mezzmo Library.

The alternative (as you mention) is to use the "Add Folder" feature which is dynamic and does pick up files that you have added/deleted/changed in folders on your computer.
