Hi all, im new at this dlna and streaming things since 2 days when i bought a panasonic V20 TV.
I can stream to my tv, it works most of the time :o
But when playing video's i cant select subs, audio etc, it will be i a future update , at least thats what i read here on the forums.

Now my q: if i buy a Blu-ray player, with dlna and the same vierra menu's as my tv, is it then possible to select the menu's on the streamed media? i stream then to the blu-ray player and the player sends it to the TV.
I ask this because on the remote for my dvd, and i assume on the blu-ray player there are buttons for selecting subs and audio.

Greetz all!

Mezzmo can steam to multiple devices in your home. So, in your case, you could have a DLNA Blu-ray player and a DLNA TV, and use the remote control for either device to stream video, music or photos from Mezzmo.

With regards Panasonic Viera TVs, in our testing we found they do support displaying external subtitle files for DivX video. So if you have a DivX video file on your computer and have a external subtitle file with the same name in the same folder on your computer, then you can watch the subtitles as well. For example, "C:\MyMovies\Inception.avi" and "C:\MyMovies\Inception.srt". Mezzmo will deliver both the video and subtitles to the Viera.

To answer your question: The buttons to select audio channel & subtitles on your remote control are usually applicable when playing a DVD or Blu-ray disc. We found that not too many devices use these buttons also for when streaming via DLNA. Most Mezzmo users currently have external subtitle files to allow them to display subtitles with their movies. Devices that support playing external subtitles include Samsung TVs, Panasonic Viera TVs, LG Blu-ray players, D-Link DSM-320 media player, D-Link DSM-750 media player, Brite-View media players and Zinwell media players.

Mezzmo will have more extensive subtitling features in a future major version that we are developing.
