I'm trying Mezzmo to stream files to my WD TV Live. It works fine when files are not transcoded, but sometimes very big 1080p video files stutter. So, since my TV screen is only 720p, I set 1280x720 as the maximum video resolution for the device, in order to save some bandwidth, but the resulting file is unwatchable, because the video is full of purple and green vertical lines. How can I solve this problem? The files I need to play are 1080p mkv files, with x264 video tracks.

Thanks.

WDTV live plays those native. Should be no need for transcoding.

Yes, I know that, but as I said sometimes 1080p files stutter when streamed over my Powerline network, and since my TV screen is 720p I'd like those videos to be downscaled to 720p in order to save some bandwidth. Mezzmo allows that option in the Device Settings section, and I don't understand why the output video is filled with colored lines. Any idea?

I have the same problem when streaming downscaled mkv videos to my Samsung BDP, so it seems it is a transcoding problem... Does anyone know if there is some way to fix it? Thanks.

I'm also having a problem with mkv files.
They are dvd's converted to hd mkv files by DivX Plus converter with standard aspect etc.

They used to play perfectly on version 13 then upgrade to 20 and sometimes would work.

Now have the latest release and am getting the purple/green lines etc.

This is a problem in the new FFmpeg build we're using and we'll be doing further tests with the latest FFmpeg code to see whether it has been fixed. Please e-mail support to get a new build of FFmpeg.

I just installed Mezzmo as i bought a Sony c470 bluray player and my normal videos work fine although sometimes the FF and RW dont work but my home movies from my digital camera which are MOV files have the purple and Green bands.. audio looks good though.

How do i get the new Build of FFmpeg or is that my problem too?
