hi dennis & paul,

i'm now a registered user and like i've said in the "video thumbnails" thread in the wishlist forum only have one problem left with mezzmo (v 2.3.1) on my samsung c tv, which is the occasional errors while browsing my video files. i've now made a session with mezzmo logging turned on and will send you my log file of mezzmoserver.exe (with the filenames deleted for privacy reasons). at first i always get a no video files found error (sorry for the bad pic quality and my error messages in german). i've also added timestamp to the pictures when they we're taken so maybe you can compare them to the log timestamps.

sometimes i get the error a few times, this time it was only one time. then when i get into a folder and return to the root, i often get the media play error:

http://rennebaum.com/mezzmo2.jpg

this will return me to the media player main menu where i selected video and got the video files found error once again, but now with some symbols:

hopefully this will help you in hunting down these errors. thanks again for all your customer service.

regards...

Paul

Hi Dennis, I have the same issue on my Samsung LN46C650. Just newly purchased your software so hope you can help... Please let me know what logs you need from me.

Tony.

Please make sure you have the latest version of Mezzmo installed (v2.3.2) and you are using "Samsung C" as the device profile for your TV. You can check this in the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo. If none of that helps, then please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then replicate the problem on your TV . Once it fails, please stop the Mezzmo server and email us the zipped up log files.

I have a similar issue with my WD HD Live.

Sometimes I access Mezzmo and it says "No files in folder"

I have to restart Mezzmo on my PC, to get it to work. Once I restart the server in Mezzmo, all is OK.

Any ideas?

I am running 2.4.5

Thanks

For me the issue was an external disk going into power save mode which took 20seconds to power back up. I'm guessing you have checked this?

That is quite a common cause of the problem where Mezzmo does not list files from external USB drives or NAS drives. Once the external drive wakes up, then it is fine.

If that is not the cause of the problem, let us know and we will help further.

I have no external drives..

Perhaps it happens when my PC goes to sleep?
I leave my PC on 24/7 for access when I am on the road.

If this is an issue, any chance of scheduling a stop/start of the media server on a schedule? Like Maintenance?

I could have the server auto stop/start at 3 AM every day or so.

just a thought.....

The next time this problem happens, go to your PC and check if it is sleeping. If it is, then this will be the problem. If it is not sleeping, then check if Mezzmo media server is running via the Mezzmo app or via Control Panel's Services app. Let us know the results.
