I recently got a samsung ua32d5000prmxl and I have hooked it up to my windows 7 ultimate 64 bit PC which has a sandy bridge core i5 2500 CPU with 4 gb RAM and plenty of hard disk space to spare. It is connected to the TV using a Gigabit ethernet port of Netgear DG834G router.
Mezzmo runs fine on the TV and all subtitles are streamed but when the file size is big , say above 4 GB ( MKV ) , it stutters every 10-15 seconds or so. When the same file is run from a USB disk on my tv, it plays fine. Profile selected is Samsung D series but i tried changing it to Samsung BD player with no benefit.
What do you think could be the problem?

Can you please post FFmpeg information on one of those files (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command)?

Also, please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then try playing one of those files and once it starts to stutter, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll take a look.

That file should be passed through natively.

The TV is connected to the router via a cable as well, not wireless, right? If it's wireless, then that is probably the problem. If it's wired, then it's possibly something with the file itself - would it be possible for you to send us one of those files (through a site like www.megaupload.com for example), so that we could try it here?

the tv is connected through a wire and the router has a gigabit ethernet port so bandwidth is not a problem. The file size is in excess of 6gb so can't very well upload the same.

I agree, if it's all wired up then bandwidth is not the issue here.

Can you please send in your logs - possibly they will show something.

Hi i have purchased the software since last time i posted by the problem of big files with dts audio stuttering still remains. It is very irritating when you have to copy all the large files to a usb drive to play them...

Was the problem resolved through support in the previous versions? Can you please send in logs using the latest Mezzmo version (2.4.2) and we'll see what's wrong. There are some patches available that may help you.

no , the problem was not resolved previously either. I was sent a link , http://www.conceiva.com/downloads/MezzmoFix/SamsungD.zip for my TV but that didn't solve the problem and neither did any of the other several solutions suggestedby your people, i guess they just gave up..

Do you have a support ID number from the e-mails, or, if you don't, could you PM me your e-mail address and I'll see what the issue was?

Please e-mail support with FFmpeg information on one of those files and a log and we'll see what could be wrong.

i dont know if its of any help, but i would get stuttering on 720/1080P video and also mezzmo wanted to transcode most of my video files, this was on a samsung PS50C6500 when using the samsung C profile. I was playing around with the device profile and under the device profile for my tv i changed the "Deliver all possible formats for media file to the device" from "automatic Delivery" to "Always Deliver" and form that day on i haven't and an issue with any file that i have thrown at it and pretty much all of them are played natively.

cheers

Thanks for sharing that. It's possibly related to an issue we fixed, which will be part of the next update (2.4.3) - after it's released, can you please try and reset that Advanced tab to defaults and see if things still work ok?

Alternatively, you can send a message to support and we'll send you a pre-release version to try.

is this pre-release the same one that has the auto chapter gen in it?

cheers

Yes, it includes auto chaptering as well.

with new profile, it doesn't seem to want to try and transcode everything when i leave everything "automatic" but stuttering has increased quite a bit.

We'll need to see new logs for that - did you send new logs in to support?

We just released Mezzmo v2.4.3, so please use that for further testing and logs.

If you update your Mezzmo, then old device profiles are moved to the "backup" folder under the DeviceProfiles folder.
