View Full Version : FLAC transcoding to Sony BDP-480 - slow to start

I'm trying out a few DLNA servers. Mezzmo sounds as it if it will do all I need but the main requirement is to be able to transcode FLAC to play on on my Sony. It does work as LPCM but it's slow to start playing - too slow in fact. I have Asset uPnP on the same box and that does the same job with no delay at all. Is there anything I can do to speed up Mezzmo?

Thanks

Let us know the device profile you have selected for your device. Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to see this. Also, please post the FFmpeg information for one of the files you mention. To do this, right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click "Get FFmpeg Information".

Many thanks. We'll test Mezzmo here with a similar file streaming to our Sony BDP. We'll respond after we have some results/fixes for you.

Thanks.

The first file I tried was a movement of a symphony so I thought perhaps that size was an issue. The example file was somewhat smaller.
