Latest version of Mezzmo 2.3.2. Mezzmo automatically detected "Samsung C"
Is weird problem becouse sometimes plays ok the mkv file, sometimes "file format not supported"
message apear. Is the same mkv (cartoon with Tom and Jerry :) ). With de Samsung Allshare or Pc Share
is ok always. I try to change the profile to "Samsung D", again sometimes work, sometimes not. Random.
Any ideas? Last night I spend 3 hours and not resolved the problem. I want to use Mezzmo instead of
Samsung Allshare becouse is faster and smaller.

One possibility is that the device profile changes to something else and this causes a wrong format to be served to the TV.

Can you please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then try playing that file again (hopefully it'll give you an error) and once it does give you that error, stop the server, zip up the logs and send them to support (at) conceiva (dot) com - please also mention this thread.

I modified manually the Samsung LA.prf

<avcontainer id="avi" name="avi" encode="0" mimetype="video/x-msvideo" supportschunked="0">
<video>
<format id="mpeg4" encode="0" codec="mpeg4">
</format>

added, and now is working without transcoding.

The "codec" is only used when "encode" is set to "1", so it's strange that it started working with that. Can you try removing that again, re-save the file and see if it still works?

I compare the file SamsungBDP.prf with my modified SamsungLA.prf and the the "codec" is used and encode is set to "0" in the original SamsungBDP.prf file.

Yes, but internally that parameter ("codec") is not used unless "encode" is set to "1". It just shouldn't matter, as file compatibility is checked against the "id" parameter.

If you remove the codec and try again, does it work or does it stop working?

My BIG problem with Mezzmo is that, even if my tv play nativelly 90% of my movies (with Allshare) with mezzmo half of them is "File format not supported". I turned off transcoding and set to "always" deliver" but not working. I want to use Mezzmo becouse I have a WDTV Live, and this mediaplayer not working with Allshare. So now I use Allshare to my TV and Mezzmo to my WDTV, but I want to use only one program not 2 DNLS servers! I test Mezzmo not for 15 days but for 2 months, and I definitivelly want to buy this software but only when is working OK!

Ah, if you modified any of the Advanced settings in device properties, then that may break things.

Can you please reset all those settings back to default, then turn transcoding back on and try again? It should let you play same files you can play with AllShare without transcoding them. If it starts to transcode something, then please post FFmpeg information on that file and we'll check it against the device profile.

If you turn transcoding off, then that may deliver wrong mime types to the device and this may cause the device to fail, so please keep transcoding turned on.

This movie plays nativelly on my TV so not need transcoding.
With transcoding OFF -->> "file format not supported"

......
<avcontainer id="avi" name="avi" encode="0" mimetype="video/x-msvideo" dlnaprofile="MP3" supportschunked="0">
......
when I deleted this (with red colour), everything is OK, all my divx movies plays fine, with transcoding OFF.
Is that OK? Or have you a better idea?

Yes, you could use the "Samsung D" or "Samsung BDP" device profile that doesn't have that tag and may be better suited to your TV's firmware. Or, as you did, just remove it whenever the profile is updated through Mezzmo's update.
