I just recently purchased a DS411j and finally finished configuring it. One problem that I have now encountered is that I can't play my content off my DS411J using a PS3. I have pointed Mezzmo to use the DS411j and it was able to see and capture all of the thumbnails but when I go to my PS3 I can see all of the content and see their thumbnails but when I go any try and play anything I get a "media server error network error has occurred". I'm at a loss as to what the problem might be. I know that the DS411j has DLNA software built into it but the PS3 will not play MKV files. That is why I still want to keep using Mezzmo so that I don't have to convert all my MKV files to work on a PS3.

Any help would be great
Thanks

It's possible that this is a file access issue. Mezzmo GUI and Mezzmo server have different permission levels, so while the GUI can always access your files, the server may not have enough privileges on your network.

Are the "guest accounts" turned on or off on the NAS? If they're off, please turn them on and try again. Also, if often helps to create a same account name/password as your Windows logon (and the one you used to register Mezzmo server) and give that account full permissions on the NAS.

If you did both of the above and it still fails, then please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging), then try to play one of the failing files and once it fails, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com for further investigation.
