View Full Version : Playlist protection with pincode

Odd I did not found this request on global search. I know 'usage control' can be done trough selecting wich devices are able to access wich content.
But like a tv in a livingroom should have access to the content valid for the viewer. We have a whole 'cartoon' playlist for the kids, but basicly thats the ONLY playlist that should be accessible by them. Isn't it possible to enable 'pincode' on a per playlist/folder base, or an alternate option could be viewer profiles ie : who turns the tv on and uses the upnp streamer has to give 1 pincode, wich enables his profile unlocking all content for his profile. The latter one would be very pro :)

Thanks for the suggestion. We have been discussing this feature here also and it is already marked as a feature for a future version of Mezzmo. DLNA does not have any password or PIN code protection in it's guidelines, so it means we have to work within the guidelines as best we can to provide this feature for users.
