I downloaded the trial of Mezzmo and i have been unable to get it to work. I have Windows 7 x86 and every time i try to start the media server it tells me that "The Mezzmo media server could not be registered on your computer". I have a password for windows and i type it in correctly but nothing. I also removed the user password and tried that and it won't go. I have tried run as admin and compatability settings. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Does anyone know how to get this working? It looks like great software but i have been unable to get it work. Thanks in advance.

Please make sure you're specifying the correct user name and password (the user name should be pre-filled for you).

Another thing to check is that the computer name only contains English characters.

Also, do you get any error code in that error message?

Having te same problem as mentioned earlier.

"the Mezzmo media server could not be registered on your computer".

- First installed trial edition
- I uninstalled it after getting the error message
- Installed it again with admin privilege after I disabled virusscanner and comodo firewall
- Use only English characters, copied my password from notepad so I am sure the correct one was filled...
- Still cannot register media server

There is no error code, only the message...

Using windows 7 professional on a system that meets the minimum requirements.

Please help!

Can you please check this thread and see if the following services are running on your system: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/514-Windows-services-that-need-to-be-running-in-order-for-Mezzmo-media-server-to-launch. (ignore the "XP" part).

Dcom sever was running
Remote Procedure Call was NOT running
UPnP device host was running

So I started de RPC service and hoped it would fix the problem but it didn't! Still having te problem "the Mezzmo media server could not be registered on your computer".

Do you have other solutions?

Problem solved after 1 hour of trouble shooting...

Mezzmo could not register service because my Comodo sandbox blocked the service from start running.

Thanks for your help folkes

Thanks for posting that - yes, running the service in a sandbox will not let it function properly.
