I have installed Mezzmo, have got it working, loaded it with media and am able to see it on my Sony TV. I can also see the various media types (Album Artists, All Music Files etc.), but when I try to select a media type, I am always told by the TV that there are no items to display. In Mezzmo, I can see the media. UPNP is turned off, the Mezzmo port is opened on the router. The attempt to read the media is not registered under Media Devices.

What to do?

A few things to try:


Be careful that you are not trying to browse & play music while you are in the Videos section on your Sony TV. You will have to navigate to the Music section on your TV and then browse/play music form Mezzmo. The same goes for videos and photos. Many users make this mistake initially.
Please go through all the steps in this FAQ. Typically, they fix most users' problems relating to unable to connect/play media issues from Mezzmo on their device.

Reboot your router. It may need this to make your router changes to take effect.

Thanks for the reply. I had already worked through the FAQ, no joy there. The idea with looking for photos in the photo folder had also occurred to me ;-) The router has digested all of the changes, so I could use some more suggestions please.

Given you have worked through the checklist, then we will need to see a set of logs to work out what is going wrong. Can you please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then try browsing and playing some files. Once it fails (no items displayed), stop the server, zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
