Hi There,

I am new to Mezzmo but have started to use it to stream all types of media to my Samsung TVs.

I moved over some old dvr-ms files and some wtv files.

Dvr-ms seemed okay but I have issues with no sound on some of my wtv files. Not all only some.

Can you help? Incidentally Mezzmo identifies all my TVs as Samsung C although I recently got a fairly new Samsung LED.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

Can you please tell me the specific model of your TV?

Perhaps try a "Samsung D" device profile or a "Samsung BDP" and see if they work better than the "Samsung C" one.

If possible, can you please send one of those WTV files to support (at) conceiva (dot) com (if they're larger than 10 MBs, please upload them to a site like www.megaupload.com), and we'll test it here as well.

Also, if a different profile doesn't work, please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then delete your transcoded files and try playing one of those WTVs again. Once it starts playing (and there's no sound), stop the server and send in the logs.

Hi Dennis

Thank you - tried changing the Samsung devive type to no avail.

Funny thing is it will read me the sound out from time to time as if it is subtitles. In the properties of the media - audio =1 work - audio=2 appears to not. In the Mezzmo preview pain - can I change these properties - XML?

This problem does not happen with all WTV - BBC recordings are okay - channel 5 are not. Could it be that the audio is encoded in different ways?

The files are very big and my Internet is poor poor poor!

Will try and do this.

In the meantime I will also turn on logs as instructed and see where we go from there.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

It's possible then that those files have multiple audio streams. Mezzmo will only pick the first audio stream, so if it's not the main soundtrack, then you could experience what you're seeing. Can you please post FFmpeg information on one of those files (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command) and we'll see.

Thanks for the file info. Yes, there are two audio streams and perhaps during transcoding the wrong one is picked.

To confirm what's happening, we'd need to see transcoding logs.

Do you have an option to only record the main audio stream?
