As I progress (bloody slowly!) through my bluray library my Films folder is naturally getting larger and larger.

Is it more efficient to have separate folders for every file as in some system like XBMC, or because Mezzmo doesn't pull extra files (but stores meta content and thumbnails in its own database (is that right?) does it not make much of a difference?

Eg would it be quicker rendering 100xfolders rather than 100xfiles?

Mezzmo will read in external files when adding a video file or when maintenance run, but after that, yes, everything is loaded from the database.

It depends on your device, but generally there is not much difference speed-wise. Some devices have limits on the number of files or subfolders, so if yours does, then you may want to organize your files accordingly.
