View Full Version : Samsung BD-C6500 not playing audio

I have a video that is .mkv, and it's playing the video to my Samsung BD-C6500 but not the audio.

Looks like the video is xvid/aac, and the samsung doesn't support that. It will support xvid/ac3 format, though. Meaning the audio needs to be transcoded, but it isn't doing that.

I'm using the Samsung C profile. Should I be using a different one?

Here is my FFmpeg info on the file:

Looks like we need to update our device profile, I just checked and it appears that the BDP doesn't support AAC in that container, as you've noticed - thanks! Please open a support ticket and we'll send you an updated device profile to try.

I'd recommend using the "Samsung BDP" device profile (our fix will be in that).
