Would it be possible to add an option that would overlay some of the file's metadata information when it is sent to the device?

As an example... our photos are organized in a Year-->Month-->Description folder structure. When the random playlist option is delivered (I know it's coming), it would be nice to have the path and filename displayed at the top or bottom so we know what we're looking it.

May also be of interest when playing music... If there is information other than the standard info.

Thanks!

You mean transcoded onto a photo or just displayed by the device? If the latter, then it's up to the device whether it'll display any additional information or not. Writing data onto the photo itself is an interesting option - it could be done. Of course it won't work for music.

And it could still work for music if the text was overlaid on the album artwork.

Anyway, thanks for considering it!
