View Full Version : Coverting 5.1 audio to 2.1 audio?

I've been using Mezzmo for a bit and it seems to work nearly perfectly. I've been trying to get my analog 2.1 speaker system to work through the digital audio out on my TV while using DLNA. It turns out the converter I bought can only convert 2.1 digital audio into 2.1 analog, and my collection of HD content is all in 5.1 (AC-3). Is there a way for Mezzmo to transcode my 5.1 channel movies into 2.1 so I don't have to manually change every movie, or buy a whole new converter (which I'm not even sure exists).

Thanks.

We should be able to modify your device profile so that it transcodes to 2.1 audio. Send us an email at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we can supply you with a customized device profile. In your email, let us know what device profile you are using for your DLNA device (to check this, go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo) and what your DLNA device is (manufacturer and model).
