Hi I found extremely difficult to properly organize my home-made image or video files. Essentially, It seems that the only way to use smart/active lists is to include infos in the filename or to logon to the server and manually edit file poperties in Mezzmo GUI. In other words, these features seem to be suited to "official" multimedia files (whose metadata can be downloaded), but not suited to archive and stream our own pictures or videos.

What I would like very much is to edit the "tag" field of, say, a jpg in windows explorer, to add my own classifications (eg. "birthday;Claudia;2011"), to upload the files on a share of the server, and to have Mezzmo parsing these info during the daily library update. Smart/active list support for the "tag" fieldwould be of ourse needed.
This way one could avoid the direct logon to the server and the use of the Mezzmo GUI, that seems not especially suited to massive file metadata editing.
Do you think it is feasible?

Best regards, Federico

We'll expanding our metadata support for pictures soon and also we're enhancing video meta-data support (but again, it'll more suited for produced movies, rather than home videos). I'll make a note to make use of the "tag" field - thank you for the suggestion!
