Hi,

Has anyone here had any luck installing Mezzmo onto Microsoft Small Business Server 2011?

I have installed it without fault, however when I try to run it, I get the system error 'The program can't start because WMVCore.dll is missing from your computer'.

Doing a quick Google has revealed that this is a Windows Media Player related file, but I can't see a way of getting Media Player installed - I tried installing the 2008 version, but it didn't like it and complained about genuine advantage and non genuine version of windows (it is!).

Any help would be appreciated.

Try installing the XP version of the WMP - that usually works.

Thanks, I tried that, but it was failing on genuine advantage validation side of things, even though it is genuine SBS.

I'll try it again though any other pointers would be appreciated.

You may also need to install the Desktop Experience - some server versions need that.

Hi all,

first sorry for my english :-)

Go to "Server-Manager" klick "Features" then go to "Add Features" in the next Screen look for "Improved Windows-Audio/Video-Streaming" or so similar.
Marked this Feature and install ...
Reinstall Mezzmo and it's run fine ...

I hope this help
Ron

Fantastic, thanks guys for that. Found the Desktop Experience info at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772567.aspx and installled that and will aslo look at the streaming side of things once the server has rebooted.

I have also added the 'Quality Windows Audio Video Experience' which seems appropriate. Looks like it should work now.

'Quality Windows Audio Video Experience' is related to qWave framework... don't think Mezzmo uses it.

Yes, you are right, Mezzmo server does not use qWave.
