I am evaluating Mezzmo for use in file server/media server.
I installed mezzmo on on a server using the e350m1 cpu/gpu combo. The server worked pretty well except for some very large MKV files where the CPU usage would spike to %100 even with DXVA turned on.

I decided to send the e350m1 back and instead settle on an i3550 the strange thing this is that performance is now worse.

Movie quality seems to have gone down. Some movies simply stop playing after some time.
Does anyone have any suggestions.

Mezzmo is using FFmpeg for transcoding, so any HW acceleration would have to be implemented in FFmpeg. The version shipped with Mezzmo supports DXVA, but it may or may not be using it.

Can you please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then delete your transcoded files and try to play one of them again, so that transcoding would be logged. After that please stop the server and send the logs to support and we'll see if FFmpeg is using DXVA or not.
