View Full Version : Problem with FLAC/WAV cutting off

Hello,

I am running a trial version of Mezzmo to see if it works for me. The key for me is to be able to stream lossless music. Unfortunately, right now, all of my FLACs and WAVs cut off in the middle of the songs. It's random where each song cuts, but they all cut. I thought it was perhaps the network, but Windows Media Center streams wavs without an issue. MP3s in either Mezzmo or WMC work fine. It is streaming to an Onkyo HT-rc360 receiver.

I am running Windows 7 Premium 64bit.

Is this a known issue or is there something that can be adjusted to eliminate the problem? I'm trying to decide whether to purchase Mezzmo, but won't if I can't play FLACs.

Thanks,

Matt

Hello Matt,

Can you please tell me which device profile you're using for your Onkyo? For example, "Onkyo TX" device profile should pass through FLAC files natively to your device, but "Onkyo BD" will transcode them and this may cause them to be cut. If you try playing the same file again, does it play fully through?

Dennis,

That appears to have worked. The device is connected wirelessly so it was labeled as BuffaloLink or something odd like that. I tracked it down by IP and changed its configuration to Onkyo TX/RC. Played whole songs. Looks like I am good to purchase it. Thanks.

Hi, I'm also in the same situation but on a Samsung [TV]UN40EH5300. I'm using the evaluation version of Mezzmo, everything works grate, except for the FLAC files, they all cut when is left about 30 seconds left (only a couple of FLAC files which last lest than two minutes plays complete).

The profile selected by default is Samsung C (i already test with other profiles but with the same results). The laptop i use as a server is a Dell Inspiron 6400 with windows XP.

Could you help me to find where is the issue?

Regards!!

Please send in a set of logs and we'll look into the problem. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo Server. Stream a FLAC file to your TV and when it stops before the end, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

I have SAMSUNG Blu-ray 3D BD-F6500/ZF and Mezzmo cutting off flac.
The only way to fix it is to set in Mezzmo the profile samsung galaxy tab (flac) but the remote control doesn't work anymore.
Any other profile to fix this?

many thanks

Giuseppe

Hi Giuseppe,

Please email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide an updated device profile for you to try. In your email, please include a set of logs when you try to stream your FLAC file. To create a set of logs, go back to the original device profile and then turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream your FLAC and when it fails, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
