This is my second try at posting in this forum. Just got myself a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. One of the thing that i was / am gonna use it for is video watching. Tryed Samsung AllShare but did not get it to work. Found Mezzmo on the net after google-ing my brain out. Downloaded the trial but so far i'm not able to even see my video server on my galaxy tab. My fileserver is a windows 2008 R2 64-bit OS. My server is connected straight to my router. My router is a Thomson TG789vn. I have turned both off the firewall and UPnP in the router. I have tryed to turn off the firewall in my server, have even tryed to bypass the DEP function in Windows 2k8. I any of you have a solution to my problem please share the info.

Thor.

Given that both Mezzmo and AllShare did not work, then I think you still have a home network issue where DLNA servers (such as Mezzmo or AllShare) are not able to reach your Galaxy Tab. Have you been through this checklist - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/1183-FAQ-Cannot-see-Mezzmo-on-your-DLNA-device ? Is your Galaxy Tab and PC on the same subnet?

Hi Paul,

I am starting to think the problem is with the win2k8 R2 server it self since i installed Mezzmo on another PC on the same network and was able to see my library from that server. However I'm only able to play avi files but no mkv files. I have the Galaxy Tab profile with transcoding enable but still no video with mkv file extension. If that could be solved i would buy this product on the spot.

Hi Thor,

Please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging). Delete your transcoded files using the Transcoding Settings dialog in Mezzmo. Next, start your Mezzmo server and stream the MKV file to your Galaxy Tab. When it fails, stop your Mezzmo server. Zip up all the logs and send them to us. We'll check out what is going wrong.
