Hello,

i have a problem with FFMPEG

I Have a Sony Bravia KDL 55EX715, using DeviceProfile Sony Bravia KDL, in this Profile FFMPEG using 100% CPU, when i using DeviceProfile Sony Playstation 3 then FFMPEG using 3-5% CPU by playing any File in Matroska Format (.mkv).

Why is this so and can any modify the Profile to run it?

sorry my English is not so good....

Hello,

Does your TV play that file when you use the "Sony Playstation 3" device profile? The PS3 profile will remux more files than the "Sony Bravia KDL" profile, so on remuxed files you'll see less CPU usage than on full transcoding.

Yes my TV play this Files when i using PS3 device profile. I have tested with 2 different files, one with KDL profile and one with PS3 profile, booth profiles on my TV play this Files but in KDL profile cpu use 100% of ffmpeg.exe to transcode by ps3 profile cpu use 3-5% of ffmpeg.exe to transcode by different files, is nothing in Transcoded Files this folder is empty before i start playing, so its starts new Transcode of booth files.

Sounds like the file can be safely remuxed. Can you please right-click on it in Mezzmo and post the output of the "Get FFmpeg Information" command and I'll see if I can suggest a better profile for you to use out of the existing KDL ones.

Thanks for the info. Can you please try the "Sony Bravia KDL (MP4)" device profile and see if that remuxes the file? The problem is the dimensions of the file - 1920x814 may or may not display properly on your TV (may be skewed a bit).

I have sent a ticket to support@ for you guys to check out, i have the exact same thing with my Bravia 2011 model, i now switched the profile to "Sony Bravia KDL (MP4)" and CPU went from 90% to 10% on average now. So far so good!

Yep, looks like the 2011 Bravia models work 100% fine when switched manually to "Sony Bravia KDL (MP4)" :)

Thanks for the update - it means that this particular device profile is better suited to the firmware of your TV, so I suppose you're best to use that :)
