Hello.

My home Hifi is a Denon mini system, consisting of an amp plus a multipurpose player (CHR-F103) which is a UPNP client, internet radio client and CD player. I think it was launched around 2007.

When Mezzmo is set to "Generic (PAL)" the Denon can see music files but cannot play them.
When Mezzmo is set to "Onkyo TX" (name chosen at random) the Denon can play the files. However it's somewhat slow at navigating through the folders, as if it's being sent more metadata than it can easily handle.

Which device type(s) do you recommend I try for the Denon CHR-F103?

Many thanks,
Chris

Hello Chris,

The "Onkyo TX" actually appears to fit it quite well, except that Onkyo supports FLAC and Denon doesn't. Try the "Sagem My Tuner 500" as well and see if that's better.

The device could be slow to navigate through the folders just by design/implementation, so the device profile may not fix the browsing speed. Is it slow navigating both large and small folders? Do you see a difference when navigating different types of playlists (e.g. smart/active vs normal/disk folders)?
