Hi forum,

excuse me if this sounds like a naive question but i have downloaded, installed and connected my Philips PFL6606/t 12 TV to the server with great ease however if I broswe my PC for video I can see only the Video TS files but not the root folder containing the name of the DVD making it very hard to determine what I am about to stream,

It would be very nice to see the file name of the folder that the VIDEO_TS files are being held in.

Is there a way of sorting this out as there is absolutly no way to identify what to play.

I've included a screen shot of the videos folder on the PC.

Many thanks from a new user.

Hi,

When you browse the Mezzmo server on your TV, you go through down the Video -> Folders -> Video path, that replicates your library's structure, right? If that's the case, then on the last "Video" level, you should see the SW episodes, so you'll know which one you're entering into. Once you are inside that folder, then it presents a generic VIDEO_TS one, so at this stage it's up to your TV whether it displays the previous folder you were in or if it only display the currently selected folder name.

Hi Denis, thanks for the reply.

Silly begginer mistake. I was looking in the All Videos folder.
When I look in the right folder all the names are there.

Now when playing there is problems.

Segments keep repeating themselves and progress very slowly if at all. My wifi dongle LED is going nuts so I am suspecting the 54mb/s wifi link.

Today I will run 10m of CAT6 cable from the router to the TV to see.

Regards.

Ron.

Hi Ron,

Yes, try a wired connection and see if that's better. It could be either the wireless network or (if there's transcoding) transcoding speed. Is there anything in the Transcoding pane while you are streaming this file?
