I have the same problem, the Mezzo UI crashes very often.
I have a hexacore 6GB Win7 x64 machine - Is Mezzmo supposed to work on 64bit at all?

I had a folder that did this also.

I found out that one of the files had an issue. It was either the file-name had special charters or it had a space in the name just before the .xxx extension.
I don't remember what pointed me to the file-name but i think i seen something in the logs.

The best way to isolate a crash is to enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then reproduce the crash and send the logs to support. This will either help us pinpoint a file that causes a crash (in most cases we can't read information from it properly) or show something else going wrong.

Mine is currently working on Win 7 64 Bit. I had the same issue. If you have a large library its best to leave it for a while, it does recover on its own after some time.

I have now sent logs to the support.
I doubt that it got anything to do with file formats, even if I have an empty library folder mezzmo UI crashes alot. It even crashes when closes the Mezzmo UI, or if I use the "maintain library" function :-(

Thanks for the logs - we'll get back to you via e-mail.

I have bought a Samsung d8000 which plays my MKv and avi files -- connect your hdd to the tv. My mother in law now has a $800 Samsung tv which also plays these files by connecting hdd to tv using USB. Can ff rr pause sto and play. You get five scenes for movie to pick fr restart. You can USB sticks for movies also. Check out the <Tools> button which allows you to change audio track and many more options.

Yes, the problem is that playing files from USB and via DLNA is two different things (because the manufacturer decided so) and thus you get different functionality and format support.
