I downloaded the trial version of Mezzmo, version 2.2.0.0. I am home networking from my laptop through my Sony BDP-S480 DLNA device. Worked great at first. Steamed a movie and everything worked well. The next 2 movies I tried to play stopped half way through the file, screen went black. I clicked on the file again to play and now it would just think and then an error would pop up and say, "File corrupt or unrecognized". I tried transcoding the files to what was recomended for my DLNA device. The one seems to be working with some difficulty and the other won't even start. It just thinks for awhile and then I get the same error, "File corrupt or unrecognized". It will then start the next movie.

One suspect may be that my network is wireless B.

Thoughts?

I assume you are using Mezzmo v2.5 instead of v2.2. If not, please download and install the latest version of Mezzmo (v2.5).

What device profile are you using in Mezzmo for your Sony BDP? Check this using the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo. I would recommend trying the Sony BDP PAL or NTSC profiles (depending on where you live). Try changing the device profile and try streaming the movies again. Re-start your media server each time you change profiles. If it is no better, then please send us the FFMpeg information on the movie files. To do this, right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

Your wireless B network will struggle to handle 1080p HD video that is streaming from your PC to your Sony BDP. It just cannot handle the bandwidth. This usually results in your Sony BDP stuttering at first and then possibly stopping the movie completely. As you say, this may be the reason for your troubles. We recommend using Ethernet cables or wireless N at full signal strength.

I gave you 3 bad pcs of info above. I do have Mezzmo v2.5 loaded ,I do not have wiresless B, it is G and I have a Sony BDP-580 instead of a 480 Oops, sorry.

I checked the profile and it was set on Sony BDP NTSC, I changed it to PAL and had no change.

I sent in FFmpeg info on one of the movies, it was skipping real bad. I sent it through customer support.

Thanks!
