I just downloaded the trial version of Mezzmo and was wondering why fast forward and rewind doesn't work on Vob files. I have a samsung UN32d5500RF tv and I am ripping dvd's with DVDfab and then converting to one single VOB file. Also when watching a movie then stopping it in the middle of the movie Mezzmo just starts it over again from the beginning. Is there a feature to start/stop the movie in the same location. Just wanted to know these details before I purchase.

Samsung devices do not support FF/REW, they only support skipping using left/right buttons on the remote. Is that what you are trying to do?

It should allow you to resume a paused video in the same spot though. What settings are you using when converting your videos to VOB?

I tried using the left/right buttons on the remote but doesn't do anything.

I can pause the video and restart it, but was wondering if I stop a video and then go back to the menu and then select the same video if it would remember what spot I left off at.

Some Samsung devices support resuming - when you start playing a video that you've stopped previously, you may get a prompt to resume using the blue button. Some devices don't have this in their firmware, so if your doesn't show this feature, then it's probably not implemented in your device's firmware. Please make sure that you are using the "Samsung D" or "Samsung BDP" device profiles, as this feature will only work when using one of Samsung's profiles.

Can you please right-click on one of those VOBs in Mezzmo and post the output of the "Get FFmpeg Information" command so that I could check whether the file is passed through natively or if Mezzmo is transcoding it? Also, please tell me which device profile you are using.

I'll check tonight and see if the blue button will do anything or not. I'm using a the Samsung D device profile. Below is the FFmeg Info.

That file should be passed through natively, so I suspect it's the firmware on the TV that's not allowing you to skip through the file. If you have Samsung's server installed, can you please try the same file using that and see if that allows skipping or not.
