Hi,

I am new to Mezzmo and have a couple questions. I used Mezzmo with my PS3 and I get the correct video aspect and I am able to choose between stereo and Dolby Digital audio.

When I play through the Panasonic BDT-310, the wide screen picture is stretched verticaly to fill my whole 16 x 9 TV and I am only able to choose 1 audio and it is always Stereo.

I have been using Handbrake to create my m4v files from VOB files for my AppleTV (Classic). These are the same files I am using in Mezzmo.

Is it possible to create an XML for the Panasonic BDT-310 to correct the aspect and include the Dolby Digital audio?

Thanks JoeB

Can you please right-click on that file in Mezzmo and post the output of the "Get FFmpeg Information" command? Also, which device profile are you using for the Panasonic?

Can you please try the "Panasonic BDP (MPEG-TS)" device profile and see if that works better?

We're transcoding the MP4 file and since the AAC audio (stereo) is the first stream, it's the one that's being used. The AC3 (5.1) is dropped during transcoding. If you can drop the AAC audio from the file, then it should have surround sound after being transcoded by Mezzmo. A future version of Mezzmo will allow you to choose the audio stream that you wish to use.

Hi Dennis,

Nope, no difference with the "Panasonic BDP (MPEG-TS)" device profile.

I do use Mezzmo with my PS3 and it does allow me to choose the audio stream now. I am able to choose the second audio and I get 5.1. Is this controled by the PS3 device profile?

Ok, please open a support ticket and I'll send you an updated device profile to try ("Panasonic BDP").

If the files is passed through natively to the PS3 (based on the device profile), then yes, the PS3 itself may allow you to choose audio tracks in some containers (formats).
