Hello

I have a chronic error with Mezzmo running on Server 2003 x86 with 4GB RAM. There are over 22,000 video files on the server.

System is a Dell PowerEdge 2900 Single XEON 5150 with no other errors, in fact is running no other apps other than Mezzmo, a UPS monitor, RemotelyAnywhere, and Symantec Endpoint Protection V11.
The system is a fileserver and is on a Gigabit network. NO transcoding is being done for any device.

This event happens every other day, sometimes everyday, but no more than 3 or 4 days apart.

MezzmoMediaServer.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x005d9fe3 referenced memory at 0x6aec8b55. The memory could not be read.

In Event Viewer it gives this explanation:
Faulting application MezzmoMediaServer.exe, version 2.5.0.0, faulting module MezzmoMediaServer.exe, version 2.5.0.0, fault address 0x001d9fe3. - The address is not always the same.

Any help would be greatly apprecited!

Thanks

Hello,

Can you please tell me which devices you have on the network?

Hi Dennis

By devices, I assume you mean Media Servers? If so, there are 6 eGreat M34a (Same as Popcorn Hour A-110), 1 Real Popcorn Hour A-110, 3 LG BD570's (Rarely on), New model WDTV Live, and 2 Win7 machines that do NOT strean media via Mezzmo.

I you want ALL devices, then add to that 1 - Dell (Lexmark T634) Laser Printer, 1 - HP 4600DN Printer, 1 - Panasonic DX2000 FAX, 2 - Cisco RVS-4000 Routers, 3 - Netgear GS724T Switches, plus an assortment of computers.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

Sorry, I should've been more clear - yes, only UPnP/DLNA devices. Thank you for the information.

It's possible that you're experiencing a crash that we recently found - at the moment the only known device to cause it is an XBox360, but it may not be limited to that.

As the next step, please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then wait for the crash to occur and once it happens send in the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and I'll check whether it's similar to what we already have. I can then also send you a patch to try.

Hi Dennis

Well, I started logging and as is usual with toothaches, strange pains and other mysterious ailments, the problem didn't exhibit immediately because I told you about it. However, I now have sufficient logs to send, but even in RAR'd format, they are 245 megabytes. I don't know how to get them to you.... they wont go as an attachment in an email, so how do you want me to get these to you? - Thanks

We can use Dropbox or any other file sharing site - just upload them somewhere and send the link to support (at) conceiva (dot) com

We have gone through the logs and we think we have fixed the problem. The fix will be included in the upcoming release that is due in the next 1-2 weeks.
