View Full Version : Sony FX58 Blue Ray Player Issues

It seems like every time I try to play a movie on my Sony FX58 Blue Ray player w/ WiFi (rumor has it that it's the same thing as an S580), it doesn't display any of the movies that I try. It says that the file is corrupted. On the Mezzmo side it says that the transcoding of the file failed.

What do you need from me to assist in troubleshooting the issue? The profile that was automatically selected for the player was Sony BDP (NTSC No DiVX), or something like that. I'm not at home at the moment, so I don't have access to my Mezzmo interface.

Thank you.

We will need:

- the log files when your try to stream this file. Please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then try playing one of the problem video files and once it fails, stop the server, zip up the logs and send then to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
- the FFMpeg information on one of the files that is not transcoding. To do this, right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'

Once we get this information, we will know what is going wrong & provide you with a solution.

Ok. Will do. Unfortunately, due to work, it looks like it might take a couple of days.

As an FYI, I have tried it with .avi, .mkv, .mp4, and .m4v movies with the same results. As soon as I get the information collected I will e-mail it to you.

Thank you for your assistance.

As an aside, these same files play fine through my DirectTV cable box using whatever method it is that they use so far.

That device profile has a known issue in it actually. Please e-mail support and I'll send you a fix for it.

I sent a second e-mail today as I have received no reply back from Mezzmo support.
