tricks with ConvertHQ

:)Just to let you know, I am not sure if you are aware of this but I managed to unlock the DVD reading feature from the BASIC version (apparently it's only on PREMIUM) . I noticed that the DVD conversions started to work after I installed a codec from Elecard. The file I installed was called "Elecard MPEG-2 Decoder&Streaming Plug-in for WMP 3.5.71225.exe". It's a demo (small logo) but it works ;) .

I have no idea if it is legal or why you don't supply this codec with the BASIC version of ConvertHq , but hey.

Dear Alessandro,

We can't supply the codecs for the Trial/Basic version because of royalty costs. All the codecs required come with the Premium version.
We are pleased you have found some solution with the Elecard Codec.
