I've been looking at Mezzmo for a few weeks now. I just started the trial to see if I can get everything to work. Right off the bat I am running into a problem. I know I have

"Request cannot be completed. MEDIA PLAY will return to the main screen"

I'm trying to stream to the Samsung blue ray player BD-D6500. It has worked in the past. But now when I try to connect to Mezzmo from the player I get this very lovely message saying

"Request cannot be completed. MEDIA PLAY will return to the main screen"

The samsung player sees the Mezzmo server. I click on the video button and I get a list of my folders. I go to click on one of the folders and that is when the message pops up.

The device profile that I am using is Samsung BDP 3D

How can I get past this error message?

Thank you.

We'll need to see what's going, so please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then get the error to come up again and once it does, stop the server and send the logs to support.

I got it set up to work the the PS3 without any problems. That was nice. Still not able to get it to work with the samsung player. Sometimes I can open some folders and other times it just gives the error right away.

I just sent in the logs.

Thank you.

I would love to hear this answer as a paying customer. I have the same samsung machine. It is really annoying... Please let me in on the answer.

The user had the "Generic Device (NTSC)" device profile selected for his Samsung BD-D6500. We recommended that he change it to the "Samsung D" device profile. You can set this in the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo.

Why the secrecy? You are answering questions in a user forum. Some of us here are better than self-sufficient finding answers. Plus you can save yourself some time by not having to repeat. Big fan of work smarter not harder...

No secrecy :) Just the way the support process flowed in this case. We needed the customer's logs first to know what was going wrong, which he sent to us via email and then we replied to him. I agree with you though - it is useful information for all to know. We'll try to post back on the forums as well.
