DirecTV receiver attempts to play .wav file but no sound

Hello,

I believe the directv receiver cannot actually play .wav files but it tries. The little window with the audio tracks file info comes up on the TV and the duration bar progresses, but no sound comes out. I also watch the status on the Mezzmo console and it does not show any attempts to send a trans-coded file. I was thinking then to just pre-transcode all of my .wav files but when I select into the audio format, all I see is s16be as an option. I know it can play mp3, but why can't I select it as an option, and what is s16be? The profile is named: DirectV HR20-21 (LPCM).

Can you post the FFmpeg information for one of the .wav files that do not play? To do this, right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

Thanks for the FFmpeg information. Please try the "DirecTV HR24 (MP3)" device profile and see if that works better for you. Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to change your device profile.

Can you also walk me through configuring the transcoding settings (like the bit rate the transcoding process uses for the mp3 it creates and streams)?

The 'Direct TV HR24 (MP3)' device profile will transcode any incompatible music files to MP3. Depending on the attributes of the original music files, the transcoded MP3 files will take on the following attributes:

channels: 2 or 1
bitrate: 320K
sampling rate: 48K, 44.1K or 32K
