i'm using mezzmo with my samsung c406000 and am really happy with it. now i want to know if its possible for mezzmo to transcode dts tracks to dd5.1 tracks on the fly with a new device profile. because i often times watch movies at night and have a device which can use dolby digital tracks and translate them into dolby headphone surround for use with headphones and still get some kind of directional sound. unfortunately dts tracks can't be used, so i will need this transcoding option for my movie nights.

Yes - Mezzmo can transcode your audio channel to Dolby Digital 5.1

Please tell us what device profile you are currently using for your TV. To do this, go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo.

Also, tell us the FFmpeg Information on one of the files with DTS that you want to transcode. Right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

btw: the samsung c is pretty good with supported video codecs so if it's possible audio only has to be transcoded. thanks in advance!

The Samsung C device profile will transcode this MKV file so that the DTS is transcoded to AC-3 (Dolby Digital 5.1) as you wish. Do you have transcoding turned on? If not, then turn it on and try streaming the file now. Check your transcoding on/off settings in the Transcoding Settings dialog in Mezzmo and in the Device Settings dialog for your Samsung TV in the Media Devices dialog.

yes, transcoding is on for unsupported formats but because the samsung c can work with dts it doesn't transcode the audio. what i need is a device profile for my personal use in which dts will always transcode to dd 5.1 and which i can choose at late night when i need a dd 5.1 fir my headphone processor (mixamp) which them will deliver dolby headphone surround.

Understand. Please contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com & we'll create a modified Samsung C device profile for you. Please send us your current Samsung C device profile (the file is called SamsungLA.prf and found the DeviceProfiles folder on your computer - see this thread to locate it http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/467-FAQ-Where-are-device-profiles-located)
