I have a slow PC having

Intel 2.66 C2D
Radeon 2400
2GB XMS2

Can I transcode 10gb x264/mkv real time without any lag. Does mezzmo utilize gpu? Otherwise how can I pre-transcode a specific file?

Your computer is underpowered for transcoding 1080p HD video files on-the-fly (i.e. in realtime while streaming). You require at least a quad core CPU or higher, with 4GB RAM or higher. A multi-core CPU like an i7 processor is recommended.

Even though you have an underpowered computer for transcoding on-the-fly, you can still use Mezzmo to stream your files. You just need to pre-transcode your files before you stream them. To do this, right-click on a file in Mezzmo to pre-transcode a file, or right-click on a playlist/folder in the tree in Mezzmo to pre-transcode a folder/playlist of files, or click Tools/Pre-transcode Library to pre-transcode all your files in your Mezzmo library.
