I am having issues playing AC3 passthrough audio files with 5.1 surround sound on my Samsung BD-C5500. The files types are either .M2TS or .M4V, but either way the audio will go to stereo instead of playing back in surround sound. I use handbrake for most of these files, and it does not matter if I try Auto passthrough or AC3 passthrough. It is odd though, that I can change my device profile from "Samsung BDP" to any other Samsung profile and the files will play with 5.1 surround sound, but I can't fast forward. Another problem with some profiles is that the playback will stop after about 30 seconds. Anyone have any thoughts on why the Samsung BDP profile won't playback surround sound while other Samsung profiles will? I wouldn't have any problems changing the profile, but I can't give up the ability to fast forward or enter a time to jump to. I have also messed around with the PCM and the NTS settings on the Blu-ray player to no avail.

On a side note, is this Blu-ray player and profile capable of chaptering? I haven't been able to do anything except fast forward or enter the desired time. Thanks for the help.

If required or desired here is the FFmpeg information for a sample file:

I'd like to see a set of logs to know exactly what is happening. Please set the device profile to 'Samsung BDP'. Next, turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and then stream the 'Rome Part 19 AC3.m4v' file. After it shows that it has 2 channel audio and not 5.1, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
