The Trial version of Mezzmo 2.6.1 is not reading .VOB files. I originally had downloaded 2.5 a few weeks ago and everything worked fine. I didn't purchase after the trial expired because I saw 2.6 was coming out and was going to try it out first.

I downloaded 2.6 on Saturday and I started getting the "Not a Playable file" error message. I then downloaded 2.6.1 yesterday thinking it would be fixed and I kept getting the same error message. I really liked this product but will need this error resolved prior to purchase.

thanks.

Forgot to mention that I am using a Sony SMP-N100 Media Player.

A few questions:

The problem is that Mezzmo is not streaming your VOB to your SMP-N100 anymore?
What device profile are you using in Mezzmo for your SMP-N100? Go to Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to see this.
What is the FFmpeg information for one of the VOB files? Right-click on the VOB file in Mezzmo and and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

I changed the Device profile to SMP-100 NTSC and it's working now. For whatever reason it kept wanting me to use Sony KDL profile.

In addition, I just purchased a WD Live media player today to compare performance against the Sony SMP-100 and the WD blows it away. The WD is working perfectly, btw, and will be dumping my Sony for this one.

thanks.

Glad you are up and running now. WD TV Live is a nice media player, and Mezzmo works well with them.

Paul,
Now I am having issues with the WD TV Live Media player. It plays some .VOB files but no all of them in a movie directory. For instance, while watching a movie it plays the first .VOB file (VTS_01_1) fine but then won't play VTS_01_2. It says the file is not supported.
Taking your questions from my previous issue on my Sony here are the answers:

It streams some movies but not all of the .VOBs in the sequence.

WD TV Live (Gen 1)

What is the FFmpeg information for one of the VOB files? Right-click on the VOB file in Mezzmo and and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

Also, who controls the automatic play when watching movies with multiple .VOBs? For instance, on my Sony when the first VOB file (VTS_01_1) ends it automatically switches to VTS_01_2. On my WD TV Live it goes back to the menu and I have to manually switch to the next .VOB file.

Thanks for your help.

Try this: Go to Media Devices in Mezzmo and edit your WD TV Live device. In the Device Settings dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and turn off the transcoding checkbox. Now all your files will be streamed natively to the WD TV Live (rather than being transcoded by Mezzmo). Also, click Delete Transcoded Files on the Transcoding tab also. Try streaming the VOBs now.

The automatic play of files is controlled by your media player. Whatever is requested, Mezzmo server delivers. Check to see if there is any continuous play/loop setting for your WD TV Live in its options/settings.

This might have worked.

An FYI to my second question on the WD LIVE SMP, about playing VOBs in continuous playback. When you find the first VOB, DON'T press ENTER/OK, press the "Play" button. If you press ENTER/OK it will only play that VOB then take you back to main menu for you to press the next VOB in sequence.

Maybe might help someone with same issue.
