Hi,

I am testing since two days Mezzmo and I think is great software.
I have used it from a new Panasonic TV 2012 series TX-P42ST50E.
Mezzmo dedect it as Panasonic Viera (2011 models) from Media Devices.

My question is, why Mezzmo use transcoding for a video file, if the TV can play the video file directly from the USB media player?

Video files properties:

File Format: QuickTime/MPEG-4/Motion JPEG 2000 format
Video Codec: H.264 / AVC / MPEG-4 AVC / MPEG-4 part 10
Audio Codec: aac

Some Viera models do not support playing MP4 files. The 'Panasonic Viera (2011 models)' device profile does not stream MP4 files directly to your TV. Try changing the device profile to 'Panasonic Viera 3D (No DivX)' as this device profile does stream them directly to your TV.

Hi Paul,

I tried to change the profile 'Panasonic Viera 3D (No DivX)' but I cannot play the file with this profile... it says me 'Cannot read file'
If I copy the video file to a SD card, I can play directly to TV just fine.
The same thing is also with another MKV file:
File format: Matroska file format
Video Codec: H.264 / AVC / MPEG-4 AVC / MPEG-4 part 10
Audio Codec: DCA (DTS Coherent Acoustics)

I just installed the free serviio, just for testing. And I can play the files without transcoding with Panasonic Viera profile.
How can I do it in Mezzmo?
I really like this software, and if I make a good setup, I wish to buy it.
