I am streaming HD format MPEG-4.ts from my desktop to my Samsung TV's (one C-series, one D-series device). My Mezzmo version is 2.5.0.

The files play fine when started but stop after 2-3 minutes without any warning - no stuttering, no artefacts - they simply stop.
I have to press the stop button for Mezzmo to return to the video selection screen and can then restart playing the files without any issues.
Playing starts from the beginning, even on Samsung C-series which normally supports playing videos from last-viewed point.

The stopping is repeatable but the streams are NOT stopping at the same point every time.

There is no transcoding going on when played. Processor load is app. 5% while streaming.

I attach logfiles and kindly request your analysis.

Hi Bernhard,

From your logs, I can see the "Generic Device (NTSC)" device profile is assigned to your TV (192.168.1.9). Please stop your Mezzmo server. Go to the Media Devices dialog and delete all your devices. Start your Mezzmo server again. Your TVs should be re-listed in the Media Devices dialog. Set the device profiles to Samsung C and Samsung D accordingly. Try streaming again. If the problem persists, then send us a new set of logs for analysis.

Hi Paul,

That's strange. Mezzmo's device list states that the Samsung C profile is assigned to 192.168.1.9 - this being a reserved IP address for my Samsung C-series TV (a C8790).

Anyway I have deleted the devices and will let Mezzmo assign the Samsung C profile again upon device detection. I will let you know of the outcome. That will take until next weekend due to business travel.

That is strange. Deleting your devices and re-assigning the device profile should fix it. Let us know how you go.
