I updated to the latest version of Mezzmo just a few days ago and just couple days ago I tried to watch Season of movies I have on my computer that have been in my mezzmo library. In short I reformated my computer reinstalled win7 and got latest version of mezzmo and now When I go to Insert and Select Scan/Driver Folder it skips some 100 odd files. The files are avi files which mezzmo has added in a and played in a prevoius version.I was wondering if there was a reason it would be skipping these files.I can browse my library inside Mezzmo and actually see the files also and there showing in my library. But it will not add them slash sync them so I can play them over my wifi to my dvd player. The only thing I did was updated mezzmo after my reinstall of windows 7 that I was useing before hand. The movies play fine on my computer and are actually located in the specified location.

Here is quick image of mezzmo skipping files listed

When Mezzmo skips a file when you are adding files, Mezzmo already has the file in your Mezzmo library so it does not need to get media information and metadata for it. It is strange that you cannot stream these files, and it may suggest that there's something wrong with your Mezzmo library/database after the upgrade. As a test, delete one of these 'skipped' files from your Mezzmo library and then add it back into Mezzmo. Does that stream now? If not, then it's best we we a set of logs to determine what could be going wrong. Please turn on logging (http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart Mezzmo. Try streaming one of the files and when it fails to play, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Ok I removed all of my library all 174ish files.I put the specfic season I was wanting to watch in folder and Added it solo.So its now the only thing showing in my library(which is what I wanted for now). Its showing that it has been added to my library on my computer through mezzmo. When I turn my dvd player on from my bedroom to stream the content I can see the mezzmo server and all folders. When I open my specific folder to play say Episode 1 it says there is no playable content in this folder. As I stated before these are the same files/folders and file extentions I have played before.I keep all my movies on an external hard drive plugged into my computer and mezzmo has never had a problem before. The files them self have not changed.Anymore ideas on what the problem might be as to why mezzmo isn't showing the content in its folder when I go to stream it from my dvd player.

At this point Im thinking it might be my dvd player weeding out avi files.Hmm stupid sony

Try this: Start Mezzmo and stop your Mezzmo server (if running). Next, go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo and delete your Sony BDP device(s) from the list. Start your Mezzmo server and your Sony BDP device should reappear in the Media Devices dialog (assuming your Sony BDP is turned on). Make sure it is using the right device profile as before. Try streaming now.

If that does not work, then we need to see a set of logs to determine what is happening. Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart Mezzmo. Try browsing the playlist/folder with the AVI files and when it fails to list or play them, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
